Most "AI contract review" tools require a signup before you see any output. POCsheet's free analyzer reverses that: drop one vendor PDF, get an AI risk report in 60 seconds, no email asked, no credit card, no commitment.
What the free analyzer returns
Five sections, generated entirely from the document you uploaded:
- Executive summary: 2–3 sentences capturing the document's overall risk posture and what it commits the vendor to.
- Red flags: 3–6 specific issues detected, severity-tagged (blocker / strong / minor) with verbatim source quotes. Auto-renewal without notice, uncapped liability, vague SLAs, vendor-only termination — the things buyers most often miss on a first read.
- Key clauses found: liability cap, term and renewal, pricing structure, SLA, security certifications, data residency, DPA, indemnification — with the actual values extracted.
- Missing clauses: standard B2B contract clauses this document doesn't address, with a one-sentence explanation of why each matters.
- Suggested questions for the vendor: 5–8 specific questions to send the vendor before signing — practical phrasing, ready to copy into your email.
Total time from drop to report: about 60 seconds for a native-text PDF, longer for scanned documents (the analyzer runs OCR client-side and shows progress).
How privacy works
Three design choices keep the free analyzer privacy-safe:
- Text extraction in your browser. The PDF file itself never uploads to POCsheet's servers. Text is extracted client-side using pdfjs (and Tesseract.js OCR for scanned PDFs), then only the extracted text is sent to the AI engine.
- No account, no PII collected. The analyzer is rate-limited by IP (3 free analyses per 24 hours per IP, 8 burst), but POCsheet doesn't store the document, the text, the report, or any identifier beyond the rate-limit bucket.
- No tracking pixel. The page is rendered server-side with no analytics SDK on the analyzer surface. PostHog only loads on signup-walled pages.
Where the free analyzer fits in the workflow
Three common use cases:
- Quick sanity check before negotiation. Vendor sends a draft MSA. You don't have time for a full legal review. Drop it into the analyzer to surface the obvious issues before your first call with the vendor.
- Triage of competing proposals. You have 3 vendor proposals to read on a Friday afternoon. Running each through the analyzer gives you a 5-minute view per document — enough to know which to read first and which to dismiss.
- "Show me what you can do" demo. If you're considering POCsheet but want to see the AI quality before committing to a free account, the analyzer is the no-friction way to do that.
What the free analyzer doesn't do
Two important boundaries:
- It analyses one PDF at a time. The full POCsheet product compares 2–3 vendor PDFs side-by-side in an aligned table, with a shared scorecard and red-flag map. That's the multi-vendor RFP workflow — different from single-document risk analysis. Sign up free to access that.
- It doesn't apply your negotiation playbook. Playbooks are tied to user accounts (they're your private standards) and require a signup. The free analyzer uses POCsheet's default "industry standard SaaS" expectations as the comparison baseline.
For both, the upgrade path is the same: sign up free, no card required. The free plan includes 2 multi-vendor comparisons per month and 1 playbook with up to 9 positions.
